REPORT DESIGN, INFOGRAPHICS, AND ILLUSTRATION

THE CLIENT

Poparide provides a city-to-city carpooling service that connects drivers who are already driving from A to B with passengers heading in the same direction. The Poparide team is on a mission to fill empty seats in cars and make travel more social, affordable and sustainable for everyone.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Vancouver, BC, Poparide now has 1,000,000+ members across Canada.

THE BRIEF

Poparide is looking to work with partners and third parties to launch and establish 10-50 new routes across Canada.

This e-book serves to create awareness for key stakeholders, including municipalities, tourism agencies and other influencers that carpooling is a great transportation solution, while building brand awareness for Poparide.

THE APPROACH

This e-book is the first brand impression for most members of the target audience, and the client wanted the e-book to strike a balance between being warm and welcoming, yet corporate and professional. The client wanted to maintain the current brand aesthetic, but continue to develop the illustration style further (especially for a more impactful cover illustration), and incorporate the custom illustrations and data visualizations with the photos and e-book content in a cohesive way.

“This is the second project that we collaborated on with Cheryl and just like the first one, she delivered a really great product for Poparide. Cheryl's process is very clear and well-documented ahead of each project, with scope of work and deliverables agreed to in advance, which helps ensure clarity and create accountability on both sides. She went the extra mile in her creative process on this e-book, revamping our illustrative style, fonts and colours to deliver a fresh look for a new piece that is very strategic for our company. She even spotted and corrected typos in the copy, and really owned delivering on a great piece that we could all be proud of. We look forward to working with Cheryl on our next creative project!”
